Museum of roses

Independent Script

A strange event has occurred at Bulgaria's most prominent rose museum. The lifeless body of one of the museum's advisors has been found, security cameras capturing nothing, and the cause of death remaining uncertain. Given the history of murder within this museum's walls, the police turn to the convicted criminal Alexander Asenova, who, 14 years ago, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the murder of the rose museum's director. Due to the intricacies of the recent murder, investigators seek Alexander's assistance in analyzing the crime scene and uncovering the true culprit. Initially resistant, Alexander, whose innocence was disbelieved by the world, leading to the ruin of his life, changes his mind due to his wife's influence.

This is an independent script for a mystery movie made by me for a project from college.

below I leave a short scene from the movie:

INT. ROSE MUSEUM / RESEARCH PAVILION / DAY Alexander is escorted by five armed officers. the investigators watch him with doubt and fear. Out of shame, he avoids looking at their faces and lowers his gaze as they walk through the pavilion to the crime scene. DETECTIVE PETROVA: You've finally arrived. Pleasure to meet you, Asenova. I'm Detective Petrova. The detective extends his hand for a handshake. There's an awkward silence, and the detective notices that he's handcuffed behind his back, so he withdraws his hand. DETECTIVE PETROVA: (Clears throat) The victim was found dead at 5:30 am by one of the security guards. Alexander, accompanied by a group of guards, follows the detective as he explains the details of the situation and points out security cameras and other facts around. DETECTIVE PETROVA: Security cameras show the victim was alive from 11:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The detective scratches his nose, then points out the paths taken by the guards that night. Cut to: INT. ROSE MUSEUM / GUARDS' PERSPECTIVE / NIGHT DETECTIVE PETROVA (Voiceover) Then there's a fatal malfunction in all museum cameras. Security guards start excessive patrols and find nothing unusual. They accompany several co-workers, but the advisor is nowhere to be found. They assume she must have finished her work and left. Guards wait until the next morning for someone to fix the cameras. The body was only discovered during the guard shift change. Several testimonies confirm that before that time, there was absolutely nothing and no one around the crime scene. Alexander looks around carefully and thinks for a moment. ALEXANDER: Where was the body found exactly? The detective takes a deep breath and points to a corner. DETECTIVE PETROVA: In that small corner over there. The autopsy revealed the time of death was around 2:30 a.m. However, the cause of death is uncertain. Alexander approaches the spot, and his guards try to follow, but the detective stops them. ALEXANDER: Did you know there's a hidden passage here where we used to store old project files? The detective crosses his arms and eyes him with suspicion. DETECTIVE PETROVA: We've searched everywhere. How can there possibly be— The detective is interrupted as Alexander kicks open a door hidden behind a tiled wall. ALEXANDER: Many years ago, it was covered up since we no longer used it. I suppose the body was hidden here. My question is, why reveal the body after— One of Alexander's guards suddenly starts bleeding from his nose and collapses, convulsing. Everyone becomes alarmed, and the detective approaches to check on the man. Upon touching the guard, the detective also starts bleeding from his nose within seconds and falls to the ground. They are being infected by an unknown threat. The second guard in charge raises his weapon toward Alexander, shouting in panic. GUARD 2: What the hell is happening?! Stop killing everyone right now, or I'll put a bullet between your— As the guard aims at Alexander's head, he collapses after experiencing strange bleeding from his nose and ears. Everyone around Alexander starts fading, and he quickly reaches the man who had intended to shoot him. He seizes the keys to the handcuffs from behind the man's back, rapidly removes them, and tears a piece of fabric from his uniform to cover his mouth. The room fills with thick, suffocating smoke. ALEXANDER: Another damn trap?! Without hesitation, Alexander smashes a window to escape the room. He runs desperately, and in the distance, he can hear the sounds of police cars and trucks approaching as he flees with all his strength. He shatters the window of a car parked near the museum, gets inside, and manages to start the car, escaping once again from the law.
